    Boba: One of the BEST boba tea places we’ve had the chance to enjoy! They nailed it with it being “not too sweet”, which is a HUGE compliment for boba, tea, and anything with desserts. We got the House Milk Tea with Pearls and also the Taro Milk with Pearls - both 50% sugar and less ice. The House Milk Tea is the best tasting milk tea of all the boba places I’ve tried. It was great to still be able to taste the tea with the milk! You can tell they do not water down their tea which is wonderful. I know taste is subjective – I personally really like a balance of tea and milk versus too much milk. The pearls/boba had a great texture and were fun to chew without putting too much work on your jaw haha. Refreshing, delicious, and comforting! Can’t beat the price either - you get a large cup. They have a lot of drink options so I’m excited to go back and try even more. People: The folks working here were friendly and warm. Enjoyed getting their recommendations and they were kind in answering our questions! Environment: Lots of seating. There’s a piano here too so I’m curious if they have live music nights which would be cool to enjoy one day. Cute and quaint spot to chill out at during shopping. Parking: We parked on the street but there’s also parking garages near the Dragon City Mall. TL;DR: HIGHLY recommend Royal Tea House for your boba cravings. If you love boba, then add this to your must visit list in Calgary! Much better than the big chains.

    I absolutely love this boba store, it's located in Dragon City Mall. It's one of the many gems in chinatown and I believe it's family owned too. They have a karaoke setup where I saw many Chinese elderly gathering singing and dancing. Such a heartwarming sight. I got their House Milk Tea w/ less ice and 30% sugar. I have no complaints about my drink whatsoever, the black tea flavour shined and the sweetness level was just right. It didn't feel diluted at all, which is my problem with a lot of other shops where their milk teas taste like watered down milk and barely has any tea flavour. I got my drink with grass jelly which was so soft and silky. Although the tapioca here is a little bit soft and bland, it didn't bother me that much. Their egg waffles are also delicious! Mine was crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. Perfect amount of chew and even when it cooled down, I still enjoyed it. Can't wait to revisit whenever I'm in the area :)

    Bubble tea store inside of Dragon city mall. It is quieter compare to other stores inside of the mall, good spot to take a rest while you shop. Operation is pretty slow though, I went Sat afternoon but only one person working at the store. Menu is big and pricing is not too bad.

    This establishment is located inside the dragon city mall. My first impression was great, bright layout, modern and inviting design. We ordered, brown sugar Earl Grey, milk tea with pearls, rose oolong with cheese. All of the drinks were amazing except for the cheese in the drink as it isn't my type. The tea quality was superb, the sweetness was perfect even for a regular portion. This is so far, the only place that doesn't make me feel bloated after drinking compared to other locations. I would go back again to try new drinks.

    I've had the Royal Tea House's "House Milk Tea with Pearls". It's the best tasting milk tea of any bubble tea places in Calgary. My wife had one as well and she loved it. So, we decided to try some different drinks from this bubble tea place. This time we had the Mango Sago Coconut and Fresh Strawberry Peach Tea with popping Boba. Both are pretty good. The Mango Sago Coconut had fresh mangos and tapioca. You can definitely taste the coconut flavor with a hint of mango. The Strawberry Peach Tea had fresh strawberries in there. The Boba pearls are kind of interesting as it just pops on your tongue with slight pressure. But the fresh strawberries in the drink is nice and the drink itself is refreshing. All in all, the Royal Tea House in the Dragon City Mall is a great place to get your bubble tea fix. The Milk Tea is by far the best and they offer so many varieties of flavored teas for an extremely great price. Around 5 for a large cup - you can't beat that!

    Really love their Mango Sago! And their fruit teas are all pretty good too! I really like how Bubble tea places can adjust the sugar level now. I personally don't like things that are too sweet and this feature is the best! All the drinks are made perfectly and very delicious! I would come back to try their other drinks. One thing I did get their egg waffles, personally it was too sweet for me.

    Yummy! The bubble teas here are fantastic, especially when enjoyed with friends. The place gets busy on weekends with lots of customers, but it's worth the wait. And don't forget to try the waffles—they're a must!
